The 1st instalment of Bryant Papers was transferred from National Archives of Australia in 1991 (parliamentary career papers) followed by a further instalment direct from Mrs Bryant's home in 1992 (post parliamentary papers). Before NLA received 1st instalment, NAA extracted series relating to Bryant's ministerial posts. The collection comprises political, personal and family papers, diaries and notebooks, subject files, reference material, photographs, cuttings, objects and audio tapes. The extensive political correspondence is arranged in A-Z sequences, while Series 11, (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island matter) is very large and arranged into several sub-series.
